Maximum Steel Sheet Cutting Capacity
The maximum steel sheet cutting capacity d
depends on the strength properties of the ma-
terial to be cut.
The machine allows for cutting of metal sheet to
the following thicknesses:

For softer or more ductile materials, the clear-

brittle materials, increased.
Loosen the fastening screw 7 for the bottom cut-
ter. Adjust the required cutter clearance a with
the adjustment screw 6. The upper cutter 4 and
the bottom cutter 5 may not touch each other.
Retighten the fastening screw 7 for the bottom

Replacing the blade (see figure A)
1.6
The upper cutter 4 and the bottom cutter 5 are
1.2
identical, have four cutting edges each, and can
0.7
be exchanged with each other.
Turn or replace the cutters in good time. Only
2.2
sharp application tools achieve good cutting
capacity and make the machine last longer.
To replace the upper cutter 4, loosen the fasten-
ing screw 3; to replace the bottom cutter 5,
loosen the fastening screw 7.
Turn the cutter by 90° or install a new cutter.
to be cut.
When installing the bottom cutter 5, pay atten-
max
tion that it faces against the adjustment screw 6.
Note: Turn the cutter only in the direction indi-
cated in the figure and insert a new cutter only
in the position shown in the figure. Cutting is
not possible with an incorrectly inserted cutter.
Retighten the fastening screw 3 for the upper
cutter and the fastening screw 7 for the bottom
cutter with a tightening torque of 3–4 Nm.
Check the cutter clearance a (see "Adjusting
Cutter Clearance a", page 14).
Upper cutter 4 and bottom cutter 5 may not be
reground.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts order,
please always include the 10-digit article
number given on the type plate of the machine.
