3 Configuration
Caution
The CPV direct contains electronically sensitive compo-
nents. The CPV Direct will be damaged if you touch the
contact surfaces of the plug connectors and if you do
not observe the regulations for handling electrostati-
cally sensitive components.
Proceed as follows when configuring:
1. Switch off the power supply.
2. Set the following with the DIL switches: extension to
the CP system, diagnostic mode, baud rate.
Warning
S Make sure that switch-on test pulses are sup-
pressed/switched off when you operate the CPV
Direct via a "safety I/O module".
S Check the measures required for putting your system
into a safe status in the event of an EMERGENCY
STOP.
