DIP 25, 35, 65
Check that you are using the correct
recommended operating pressure, 6 bar (e).
The maximum permissible air pressure, 7 bar (e),
must not be exceeded.
Blow any impurities out of the compressed air hose
before connecting it to the machine.
Select the correct dimension and length for the
compressed air hose. For hose lengths up to 30
meters, a hose with a minimum internal diameter
of 19 mm (3/4") should be used. If the hose length
is between 30 and 100 meters, a hose with a
minimum internal diameter of 25 mm (1") should
be used.
Methods to prevent freezing
DIP 25, DIP 35 and DIP 65 pumps can be fitted with
a silencer that is connected to the exhaust-air outlet.
If the compressed air is dry, a silencer that gives a
lower noise level can be used. Otherwise a silencer
intended for use with moist air must be used in order
to avoid ice formation.
Ice formation in the silencer can occur when the
ambient air temperature is 0–10°C (32-50 °F) and
the relative humidity is high.
Take the following actions to further counteract the
risk of ice formation:
Use a water separator.
Connection parts
Several different connection parts are available for
the pump. These include fittings for the water
discharge, the compressed air inlet and outlet, the
lubricator, and more. For more detailed information,
see the spare parts list.
Lubrication
For problem-free operation, continuous lubrication
of the air motor is required. This can be achieved by
connecting an Atlas Copco CLG 30 lubricator into
the compressed air line. The recommended
connection distance is 3 meters from the pump. Oil
mist in the air lubricates the moving parts of the air
motor. The lubricator must be filled with a lubricant
according to the table below.

Safety and operating instructions
For instructions on adjusting the oil dosage, see
separate operator's instructions for the CLG
lubricators.
The two bearings in the air motor, a double-angle
contact bearing and a radial bearing, are sealed off
from the compressed air and are therefore lubricated
with grease. The bearings must be greased after
every 600 hours of operation.
Operation
WARNING Involuntary start
Involuntary start of the machine may cause injury.
Keep your hands away from the start and stop
device until you are ready to start the machine.
Learn how the machine is switched off in the event
of an emergency.
Stop the machine immediately in all cases of
power supply interruption.
Preparations before starting
Blow the compressed air hose clean before
connecting it to the pump.
If the pump has not been used for a longer period
of time, pour approximately 5 cl (1
directly into the air intake of the pump. This will
ensure good lubrication right from the start.
Check that the compressed air is free of water and
other impurities. Dry air is particularly important
when using a silencer, because a silencer
increases the risk of ice formation.
Start and stop
WARNING Whipping discharge hose
A discharge hose that comes loose can lash around,
and the hose or jets of liquid can hit the operator,
and cause personal injury or death. To reduce this
risk:
Always remove kinks, before the pump is started.
If the discharge hose is kinked, it can be forced
out of the operator's hands.
Always make sure that the discharge hose
connections are properly attached.
Check that the discharge hose and the
connections are not damaged, replace if
necessary.
Always make sure that the outlet end of the
discharge hose is properly secured.
