7.3
Increasing or decreasing tension
!
CAUTION! Risk of injury
Observe that for increasing the spring tension 5 turns of the wheel may
not be exceeded. The spring can be damaged under too much tension.
A blind that retracts too fast under too much tension can injure a person
or damage the blind.
The speed at which the blind is stowed can be adjusted by the wheel that sets the
spring tension. The speed increases by turning the wheel forwards or decreases by
turning the wheel backwards depending on the direction of the fabric as shown in
fig. 5.
1. Fully stow the blind.
2. Add or remove half a turn to increase or decrease tension.
3. Deploy the blind and check if the blind is stowed at the desired speed.
Add or remove tension in steps of half a turn. Add max. 5 turns.

A
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Do not grease, oil or lubricate the blind unit. Lubricants will damage
the fabric.
• Be careful not to crease the fabric when using the brush attachment
of a vacuum cleaner.
• Rubbing can damage the fabrics.
• Spot-cleaning may result in cleaner areas than the surrounding.
• Do not soak the blinds.
• The manufacturer recommends testing any cleaning agents on a
hidden area of the blind first.
I
NOTE Cleaning by professional cleaning personnel
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for improper cleaning methods
or agents used by professional cleaning personnel. In this case, the
responsibility lies with the cleaning company.
Removing dust
➤ Dust the blind regularly with a dust rag, dust glove or a vacuum cleaner with a
brush attachment. Blow excess dust off of your fabric using a can of compressed
air or a hair dryer on a cool setting.
