Installation
Follow the information contained in the chapter "Preparing installation".
• Drill a hole in the ceiling and insert a dowel.
When drilling or tightening screws, make sure not to damage any cables,
wires or pipes located underneath the surface.
• Screw the screw hook into the ceiling.
• Use a small slotted screwdriver to loosen the locking screw in the lower part of the
canopy.
• Push the canopy down slightly.
• Suspend the product from the screw hook. There is a corresponding suspension
device on the cable to this end.
• Connect the feeder to the corresponding screw terminals:
- Brown cable = L
- Blue cable = N
Make sure that the cables are not bare for too long as this may cause short-
circuiting.
Make sure that all screw connections are firmly tightened.
• Push the canopy back up.
• Screw the previously loosened locking screw back into the canopy.
• Screw a suitable light bulb (not included) into the lamp socket. Observe the
information contained under Technical Data.
• Turn on power to the circuit and check to see if the product works.
If the light bulb does not light up, cut the power supply immediately (remove
the fuse or turn off the circuit breaker).
Then check the connection to the power circuit.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (i.e. an electrician).
Replacing the light bulb
Before replacing the light bulb, let the product cool down sufficiently.
If the light bulb is not cooled down sufficiently and you touch it, there is a
risk of burning!
• Make sure the product is turned off.
• Remove the defective light bulb and insert a new one.
• Turn the product back on and check that it is working properly.
Maintenance and cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these
may damage the housing causing discoloration and/or malfunction.
Do not apply too much pressure to the housing to prevent scratching.
• Apart from occasionally replacing the light bulb, the product is maintenance-free.
Maintenance or repairs may be carried out by a professional only.
• Turn off the product and let it cool down sufficiently before cleaning.
• Wipe off the product with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
• Dust can be easily removed with a clean, soft brush and vacuum cleaner.
