Now, press the brake lever until
the brake locking lever can be folded down. You can
use both hands to do so initially. Later, with a little
practice, it will be easy to complete this step with one
hand.

ATTENTION:T he adjustment screw may not be un-
screwed more than 2/3 out of the brake lever; other-
wise, it can break off easily under load.
The brake is now adjusted correctly. Activate the brake lever hard one time to cause the brake locking lever to
snap back. The brake will now release the rear wheel. Press the brake lever once again to exercise full braking
force.

Leave the brake locking lever in its folded position.
Now, unscrew the adjustment screw and lock nut
once again until the brake is sufficiently locked to
prevent the vehicle from rolling away.
Secure the adjustment screw by turning the lock nut
in the opposite direction and hand-tightening it.
