Adjusting the brake

The brake system is already adjusted when the NH1 is delivered. You can use your NH1 without making any chan-
ges.
As you operate the NH1, it will experience wear and tear, and you will eventually need to re-adjust the cable. Your
driving habits and load profile may impact how frequently adjustments are needed. New brake linings will also
require an adjustment of the cable after applying the brakes.
Please note that the braking system may change the way it responds over the course of using the NH1. A techni-
cally savvy user can change the settings themselves easily using the following explanations.
Please read the following steps carefully and take sufficient time to complete the settings. In contrast to the pro-
cess described above for adjusting the handlebar and knee pad, there is only one correct setting for the brake. If
you are uncertain how the system works and/or how to adjust it, please contact your authorised retailer or request
that your retailer adjust the NH1 for you.
Ensuring the brake is adjusted correctly for your needs, both from a technical and ergonomic standpoint, is im-
portant for your safety and for correct operation.
In general, the brake must be adjusted so that pulling the brake lever blocks the rear wheel. In addition, at the
same setting, activating the locking mechanism must trigger the brake, block the back wheel and thereby prevent
the NH1 from rolling away on an sloped surface.
First, turn the lock nut on the brake lever to the stop
against the adjustment screw.
Please do not use tools to do so, hand
tightening is sufficient.

Then screw in the adjustment screw and lock nut until
the stop in the brake lever.
