In addition to the valve activation logic described above, the temperature of the water in the system is also monitored to check its suitability in relation to the operating mode
(hot/cold) of the chilled beam.
After activating the shut-off valves, the MCR controller waits for 2 minutes and 40 seconds to indicate whether the water temperature is correct, the operating thresholds are
shown in the figure below:
Cooling
If the water temperature is not suitable for proper operation of the hydronic terminal, the control will highlight the anomaly by means of a message from the user interface.

In the case of an installation with a water probe located upstream of the three-way valve, the signal of insufficient water also corresponds to the closing of the valves.
CONDENSATION CONTROL
The MCR controller, if equipped with a humidity probe and if the water probe is present, can guarantee the calculation of the dew point and thus ensure the correct operation
in cooling mode of chilled beams installed in rooms that may present unsuitable climatic conditions with regard to the humidity level.
The humidity probe that can be used must be a sensor that provides a 4-20 mA output and must be connected to the terminal block M5 at the NTC4/4-20mA input.
For correct operation, dipswitch 2 of SW1 must be set.
In chilled beam installations with a TTL local area network, the humidity probe can be installed in the master unit only, which will be responsible for sharing the value obtained
from the probe with the slaves.
FRESH AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL
With the MCR regulator it is possible to install a temperature probe at the inlet of the fresh air duct (Dip10 ON). Thanks to this sensor, the thermostat can activate a control
function on the air in order to give indications to the user on the correct temperature value in relation to the operating season.
The sole purpose of this monitoring is to give a warning and does not imply any blockage of operation.
