Securing the Machine (Transport Position)
– Push the locking lever 3 and at the same time
move the tool arm by the handle 1 down-
ward.
– Guide the tool arm downward until the trans-
port safety-lock 26 can be pushed complete-
ly inward.
Preparing for Operation
Extending the Saw Table (see figure F)
Long workpieces must be underlaid or support-
ed at their free end.
– Loosen both Allen screws 18 with the Allen
key 21 provided.
– Pull out the saw table extension 20 to the
stop and tighten the Allen screws again.
Mounting the Extension Bars (see figure G)
To extend the saw table additionally, extension
bars can be mounted both to the left or right of
the power tool.
– Mount one length stop 47 each onto an ex-
tension bar 42.
– Insert the extension bars 42 on both sides of
the power tool to the stop in the drill holes
19 intended for this purpose.
– Tighten the screws for securing the exten-
sion bars.
Extending the Fence (see figure H)
For bevel angles, the fence extension 22 must
be moved.
– Open clamping lever 30 and completely pull
out the fence extension 22.
– Tighten the clamping lever again.
Bosch Power Tools
Clamping the Workpiece (see figure I)
To ensure optimum working safety, the work-
piece must always be firmly clamped.
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to
clamp.
While clamping the workpiece, do not reach
under the clamping lever of the quick-ac-
tion clamp with your fingers.
– Press the workpiece firmly against the
fence 6.
– Insert the quick-action clamp 7 into one of
the holes 17 intended for this purpose.
– Adapt the quick-action clamp to the work-
piece by turning the threaded rod 44.
– Push on the clamping lever 43 in order to
clamp the workpiece.
Adjusting the Cutting Angle
To ensure precise cuts, the basic adjustment of
the machine must be checked and adjusted as
necessary after intensive use (see "Checking
and Adjusting the Basic Adjustment", page 42).
Always tighten the locking knob 12 firmly
before sawing. Otherwise the saw blade can
become wedged in the workpiece.
Adjusting Horizontal Standard Mitre Angles
(see figure J)
For quick and precise adjustment of commonly
used mitre angles, detents 14 have been provid-
ed for on the saw table:
Left
Right
15°; 22,5°;
15°; 22,5°;
31,6°; 45°
31,6°; 45°
– Loosen the locking knob 12 in case it is tight-
ened.
– Pull lever 13 and rotate the saw table 15 left
or right to the requested detent.
– Release the lever again. The lever must be
felt to engage in the detent.
