Cleaning and Maintenance

8.1

Cleaning

The milling machine must be cleaned after each
working day.
▷ Empty the swarf sieve.
When the swarf sieve is too full, it is possible
that the coolant/lubricant will not drain off.
NOTE:
Possible machine damage through dried-in cool-
ant/lubricant and bound in milling dust.
After wet processing:
▷ Clean and dry the milling chamber prior to
downtimes lasting several hours.
NOTE:
The milling chamber may only be cleaned with
water.
▷ Do not use cleaning agents.
▷ Clean the milling chamber and wipe it dry using
a soft cloth.
Damage caused by not removed grinding
residue are not covered by the warranty.

Weekly maintenance

NOTE:
Danger of damaging the machine!
▷ Do not use compressed air, ultrasonic or a
steam jet for the cleaning!
Interior
To clean the interior:
▷ Remove the swarf sieve and dispose of accumu-
lated milling dust/shavings.
▷ Clean the milling chamber and wipe it dry using
a soft cloth.
Spindle
The provided spindle service set and a milling tool
of your choice are required for maintenance of
the spindle.

To clean the spindle/collet:
▷ In the software, advance to the spindle-cleaning
position.
In order to clean the spindle:
▷ Remove any dust from the spindle using a dry,
clean cloth. Do not use cleaning agents!
