▷ Mount the service unit on the rear side of the
machine using the screws.
▷ Connect the 300 mm compressed-air hose [3]
to the right-hand connection of the service unit
and to the compressed-air connection [4] of the
milling machine.

Requirements for the compressed-air supply
For operation, the compressed air must fulfil the
following minimum requirements:
_ Flow rate: 50 l/min (1.77 CFM)
_ Pressure: 6 bar / 87 psi
Requirements on air purity:
_ Solid contaminants: Class 3;
better than 5 μm for solids
_ Water content: Class 4;
Max. pressure dew point +3 °C
_ Total oil content: Class 2;
Max. oil content 0.1 mg/m
In continuous operation, the pressure and the air-
flow rate are monitored by the milling machine.
When the required values are fallen below, the
milling program stops. Once the correct air values
are available again, the milling program can be
continued after fault acknowledgement in the
software.
Requirements on air purity for the Jäger
spindle
When another service unit than the one supplied is
to be used, the following connection conditions
according to DIN-ISO 8573-1 must be ensured:
_ Solid contaminants: Class 3
(particle size max. 5 μm, particle density max.
3
5 mg/m
)
_ Water content: Class 4
(max. pressure dew point +3 °C, water content
3
max. 6000 mg/m
)
_ Total oil content: Class 2;
(max. oil content 0.1 mg/m
