Summarised safety notes

The AVL Dual Sensor has a strong magnet.
Note that strong magnetic fields can influence or damage electronic or mechanical devices.
Do not use the AVL Dual Sensor near anyone with a heart pacemaker.
When mounting the sensor, be careful to avoid injury from rotating or hot components (for example,
fan, exhaust manifold).
Attached devices that use voltages equal to or greater than 50 V AC or 75 V DC must meet the
requirements of the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
Only use power supplies that comply with the relevant standards to ensure that, even in the event
of an internal fault, the voltage is reliably restricted to 75V AC at the output terminals.
Exhaust systems, and in particular exhaust systems on motorbikes with catalytic converters,
become very hot in areas with no protective covering. This means that there is a risk of burns when
connecting the sensor, and you must wear the appropriate protective equipment (safety gloves).
When taking measurements on motorbikes, allow for sufficient engine cooling. Always use a fan to
simulate air stream and to cool the cylinder head and exhaust manifold.
NOTICE
Observe the applicable manufacturer guidelines when maintaining the cut-off speed of diesel
engines!
