Recommended Air Compressor Specifications
• HP: 1 1/2 HP or greater.
• Compressor Rated at 150 PSI Max. or greater.
• Accumulator Tank Capacity: 4 Gallons or greater
• Pressure Regulator: Set operating pressure at 90 - 110 PSI.
• SCFM @ 100 PSI: 4.6 CFM
• Pressure Switch Trip On: 110 PSI (± 5)
• Pressure Switch Trip Off: 135 PSI (± 5)
ALWAYS follow the Air Compressor Manufacturers' recommen-
dations for adjustments.
2. Filter-Regulator-Lubricator
There should be an Air-Line Filter between the Pressure Regu-
lator and the Air Compressor to insure clean, dry air. Filter on
Air-Line must be drained after use every day. The Air Compres-
sor should have an air inlet filter. The filter medium should
be cleaned or replaced as needed or as recommended by the
manufacturer of the filtration unit. The air compressor must be
equipped with a condensate drain at bottom of the accumulator
tank. The accumulator tank should be drained after each day's
use.
3. Air Hose
3/8" ID is recommended. Air supply hoses should have a mini-
mum working pressure rating of 150 PSI (10.4 bar 10.6 kgf/cm2)
or 150 percent of the maximum pressure produced in the power
source, whichever is higher.
4. Hose Coupling
Any configuration of quick connect fittings with either a 3/8"
NPT thread or a combination of a 1/4 NPT thread fitting and 3/8 –
1/4 NPT reducer. The fitting must be capable of discharging tool
air pressure when disconnected from the air supply.
5. Air Consumption
The Tool requires 4.6 cubic feet per minute of free air to operate
at the rate of 60 fasteners per minute @ 90 PSI. Take the actual
rate at which the tool will be run to determine the amount of
air required. For instance, if your fastener usage averages 30
fasteners per minute, you need 50% of the tool's CFM of free air
which is required to operate the tool at 60 fasteners per minute.
6. Operating Pressure
90 to 110 PSI Select the operating pressure within this range for
best fastener performance. DO NOT EXCEED 120 PSI.
