STOPPING
2.1 Move the throttle lever to the slow position (Fig D) Some engine applications use a remote-mounted throttle control rather than
the engine mounted throttle lever shown here.
2.2 Turn the engine switch to the OFF position (Fig E)
2.3 Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position (Fig F)
STARTING
2.4 Move the fuel valve lever to the ON position (Fig G)
2.5 To start a cold engine, move the choke lever to the CLOSED position (Fig H)
To start a warm engine, leave the choke lever in the OPEN position (Fig H)
(Some engines applications usea remote-mounted choke control rather than the engine-mounted choke lever shown here)
2.6 Move the throttle lever away from the SLOW position, about 1/3 of the way toward the FAST position (Fig J) (Some engine
applications use a remote-mounted throttle control rather than the engine-mounted throttle lever shown here)
2.7 Turn the engine switch to the ON position (Fig K)
2.8 Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistence, then pull briskly. Return the starter grip gently (Fig L)
EMERGENCY STOP
2.9 Depress large RED Button, situated on top left hand side of power unit housing.
