Cut close to the edge
For cuts near the edge you need the adapter for cuts near the edge, including
the protective plate, and the diamond cutting disc for cuts near the edge
(optional accessories).
Installation:
Use the 6 hexagon socket screws (M5x12) to connect the close to the edge
adapter to the diamond cutting disc for cutting close to edge. Attach the adapter
with installed disc onto the work spindle, turn the locking screw (M12x30) into
the tapped hole of the work spindle, and then tighten it firmly.
Now install the protective plate supplied with the close to the edge adapter.
Always strictly observe the notes concerning tool change!
The adapter set for cuts close to the edge may be used only for cuts close
to the edge!
For all other work, the closed protective plate, including the dust
protection flap and the spring, must be installed again.
When reconfiguring, clean all relevant parts.

Clamp the workpiece if it does not remain stationary due to its own
•
weight.
Do not strain the machine so heavily that it comes to a standstill.
•
After heavily straining the power tool, continue to run it at no-load
•
for several minutes to cool down the accessory.
Do not touch grinding and cutting discs before they have cooled
•
down. The discs can become very hot while working.
Protect the cutting disc against impact, shock and grease. Do not subject the
cutting disc to lateral pressure.
Dry cutting:
Dust which occurs during your work is hazardous to health. That is why
the machine must be used with a vacuum cleaner (category M) and a dust
mask has to be worn.
The suitable Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner DSS 35 M iP is available as accessory.
Remove the diamond cutting disc and remove the
clamping flange from the work spindle.
Disassemble the protective plate of the protective cover
and the dust protection flap (I), including the spring.
Pull protection flap and spring together.
