Select SCALES on the SETTINGS menu, and
then select TARE . Now you can test the gran-
ulometry by filling the coffee collection con-
tainer up to the required weight for one cof-
fee or two coffees (e . g . 7 .5 g for one dose)
and checking the resulting coffee in the cup .
CALIBRATING THE WEIGHT IN GRAMMES
This operation, which takes about 50 secs .,
is recommended on a daily basis and allows
the grinder-doser to be adjusted so that the
weight of the set dose is always obtained .
After removing the coffee collection tray,
place the coffee collection container sup-
plied into its housing (see Fig .2) . Enter the
CALIBRATION menu and start the calibration
process using the lit up button . At this point,
the grinder-doser will start a grinding se-
quence that uses about 36g of coffee (do not
touch the grinder-doser or the calibration
plate during this phase) . At the end of this
operation, confirm the output and replace
the coffee collection tray . Select GRINDING
WEIGHT from the SETTINGS menu and then
set the required weight for a single or dou-
ble dose . Now the grinder-doser is perfectly
tared and ready for use .
AUTOMATIC RECOGNITION
OF THE FILTER HOLDER CUPS - RFID
(only for XGR models)
This technology allows the coffee grinder-
doser to automatically recognise if it is using
a single or a double filter holder cup, with-
out having to select a button . Two Tag hold-
er disks are provided: BLACK for the double
filter holder cup, GREY for the single filter
holder cup . They have a sensor positioned
on the circular Tag plate . To correctly attach
the Tag holder disk, you need to release the

fastening strap and then close it, adapting
it perfectly to the handle of the filter holder
cup, making sure that the Tag plate is facing
DOWNWARDS to allow it to directly com-
municate with the calibration plate below
(see Fig .3) .

Make sure that the Tag is correctly posi-
tioned; otherwise this will prevent automat-
ic recognition of the filter holder cup (see
Fig .4) .

WARNING
Changes in temperature and humidity also
alter the granulometry of the coffee: in this
case, the calibration process will need to be
repeated .
