Mount the gear motor using M6 x
25 bolts.
Mount the drive pulley on the gear
motor so that the shaft end is flush
with the pulley. Turn the hub of the
drive pulley towards the gear motor.
Fit the contact plate (A)
As standard the drive for the tripper
is provided with two microswitches.
The microswitches can be used
e.g. as position indicators. Place
the microswitch so that the contact
plate on the tripper influences the
microswitch when a signal for a
lamp or similar is wanted.
The two microswitches can also be
used as limit switches so that the
tripper cannot bump into the ends
of the conveyor belt or anything
else. This can e.g. be an advantage
if the drive is operated from a place
where you cannot see the tripper.
Between the limit switches micros-
witches may be fitted which func-
tion as position indicators.
Fit the bracket for the microswitch-
es using M6 x 12 screws. Fit the
microswitches on the bracket using
M5 x 12 screws.
Mount a support for the wire ap-
prox. every 2 metres. Bolt the
supports with the bolts which are
used for the supports under the
conveyor bolt.
Mount a wire brake (B) and a hold-
er (C) for the supports under the
belt.
If feasible, mount the wire brake in
one of the holes used for joining of
the sections. Use a M8 x 25 screw.
If it is not feasible to mount the wire
brake at a joint, drill a hole of 9 mm
diameter for mounting of the wire
brake.
Mount the holder (C) with M8 x 15
bolts. Drill holes of 9 mm diameter
for the bolts at the distance shown
from the wire brake.
Fit the tension bolts and the springs
in the holders (C).
Mount the wire. If the conveyor belt
is up to 28 metres long, run the
wire once round the drive pulley
(see fig. 1). If the belt is longer than
28 metres, run the wire twice round
the drive pulley (see fig. 2).
Run the wire twice round the brake
discs.
Fasten the wire to the tension bolts
using a wire lock.
Tighten the wire so that it does not
slip on the drive pulley during oper-
ation.
Always run the wire round the drive
pulley as shown in figs. 1 and 2 to
avoid that the windings cross if the
wire begins to oscillate.
