Operation

Thoroughly clean the appliance and accessories prior to
initial use.
Note: VL 040 can only be operated in combination with
VL 041. All operating indications apply to both
downdraft ventilators. That is: If you set the control knob
to level 1, both downdraft ventilators are set to level 1.

If the downdraft ventilation is operated next to a gas
appliance, an air conduction rail LS 041 001 must be
attached when cooking. The air conduction rail
improves the intake behavior of gas appliances. The air
conduction rail prevents the putting out of small flames
due to drafts.
Turn the control knob right to
the desired position (0-4).
Turn the control knob left to
the 0 position.
