The minimum and maximum amount of rice that can be cooked will vary depending on the menu chosen.
Measure rice. (Use the measuring cup [approx. 180 ml] provided with the
rice cooker.)
Measure in level cups.
Rinse rice. (Rinse rice in a container other than the rice cooker pan)
(1) Rinse rice quickly in a lot of
water, then quickly drain.
(4) Repeat steps (2) and (3) until water runs clear.
Note: Rinse rice thoroughly. Otherwise, rice may scorch or smell like bran.
Add water.
Put the rinsed rice into the cooking pan and add water to the
appropriate water level depending on the amount of rice and the menu
chosen.
To measure the water level correctly, place the pan on a flat surface
and check the water level against the gauges at both sides of the pan.
3.b. Porridge:

Set the cooking pan in the rice cooker and close the outer lid.
Be sure to fit the moisture retaining cap into the lid.
