CID Reporting
CID reporting communication is composed of
three basic elements:
1. Handshake Tone
The Handshake Tone sequence is produced by
the receiver (e.g. Central Monitoring Station).
The purpose is to signal the Control Panel that
the communication channel is ready. After
dialing out, the Control Panel seeks the
Handshake Tone for 40 seconds. If the Control
Panel does not receive Handshake Tone after
40 seconds, the Control Panel terminates the
call.
2. Message Blocks
A Message Block is sent by the Control Panel
after receiving the Handshake tone. The
message block contains the report event
information.
+39123456789
3. Kiss off (Acknowledgement) Tone
The Kiss off tone from the receiver is used to
tell the Control Panel that the message has
been received successfully. The Control Panel
seeks the Kiss off Tone for 10 seconds after
sending the Message Block. If the Control
Panel does not receive Kiss off Tone for 10
seconds after sending Message Block, the
Control Panel terminates the call and regards
this report a fail report.
SMS Reporting
SMS reporting is further divided into CID or
Text reporting. SMS CID reporting sends CID
event codes when triggered. SMS Text
reporting sends SMS Text message with
regards to the alarm event.
Report Retry
When only one telephone number is
stored and reporting to it is unsuccessful,
the Control Panel will automatically redial
that number up to maximum of 5 times.
When more than one telephone numbers
are stored, the Control Panel will report to
the next number according to the priority
order. If the number being reported to is
regarded as an unsuccessful report, it will
try the next number. Each number will be
tried a maximum of 5 times and the redial
interval between each number is 20 sec.
SMS report is considered successful
report.
The maximum number of times the Control
Panel will retry is 15 times.
