Follow these steps to unplug a battery pack:
1. If the lithium battery has a balancer cable, disconnect it from the charger and the balancer board.
2. Remove the charging cable from the battery.
3. Finally, unplug the charging cable from the charging unit.
Always proceed in that order!
Always disconnect the battery from the charging cable (and for lithium batteries from the balancer board)
first. Only then remove the charging cable from the charger.
Using a different sequence poses the risk of a short circuit posed by the two round charging cable plugs
which are connected to the battery, and thus a fire or explosion hazard!
The provided connection cables feature special safety round pin plugs to prevent a short.
However, if you use charging cables you assembled yourself without such safety plugs, always follow the
sequence described above!
c) General information on how to use the menus
The next chapter has an overview of the menu structure.
• In the main menu, select the desired submenu as described with the "BATT/PROG/STOP" button and confirm
your selection by pressing the "ENTER/START" button.
• You can call up various settings with the "INC" and "DEC" buttons.
• To change a value, press the "ENTER/START" button; the display flashes.
• Change the value shown on the screen using the "INC" or "DEC" buttons. Press and hold the respective button a
little longer for fast adjustment of a value (e.g. of a charging current).
• Store the (changed) value with the "ENTER/START" button.
• Leave the setup menu by pressing the "BATT/PROG/STOP" button; the charger then returns to the main menu.
During charging/discharging, you can press the "DEC" button repeatedly to display different information on
screen. The charger returns to the normal display when no button is pressed within a few seconds. On this
point, refer to the information in Chapter 18.
If a lithium battery with balancer plug is connected to the charger (or via the balancer board), you can toggle
between the voltage indicators of individual cells by pressing the "INC" button during charging/discharging.
Briefly press the "ENTER/START" button to return the charger to the normal display.
