5. SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read through the complete guide before using this device; it contains important infor-
mation about its proper operation. The warranty/guarantee will be void in the event of damage
caused by the failure to observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages caused by the impro-
per use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty/guarantee will
be null and void.
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product are not permitted for safety and appro-
val reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy; keep out of children's reach! The product must be installed, used or stored in
a place where it is out of the reach of children. The same applies to batteries. Be especially cautious
when children are around! Children may alter settings or may short-circuit the battery/batteries, which
can cause fire or an explosion. Risk of fatal injury!
• Maintenance, adjustment or repair work should be carried out only by a technician/specialist workshop.
The product does not feature any components inside the device that need to be adjusted or maintained
by you.
• The use of the product in schools, training facilities, hobby and DIY workshops must be supervised by
trained personnel.
• The accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical
Systems and Operating Facilities must be observed.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for
children!
• Handle the product with care; jolts, impacts, or accidental falls, even from a low height, can damage the
product.
• If you are still unclear on the correct operation or should issues arise which are not covered by the
operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact us or another specialist.
b) Installation location
• The charger should be used only in dry indoor environments. Do not let it get damp or wet. Avoid direct
sunlight, excessive heat or cold. Keep the charger away from dust and dirt. The same applies for the
battery connected to it.
• Choose a location for the charger that is stable, flat, clean and large enough. Never put the charger on
a flammable surface (e.g. carpet, tablecloth). Always use an appropriate inflammable, heat-resistant
padding. Never cover the ventilation slots. Keep the charger away from materials which are flammable
or ignite easily (e.g. curtains).
• Do not put the charger on surfaces of valuable furniture without proper protection. Otherwise, scratch
and pressure marks or discolorations are possible. The same applies to the battery.
