6. Tests

Before you start operating the sauna heater, test that the safety shut-off func-
tions correctly:
WARNING!
Risk of fi re
The following test involves placing a fl ammable object (such as a towel)
on the sauna heater.
● Do not leave the sauna heater unattended while the towel is on the
sauna heater.
● If the safety shut-off does not switch off the sauna heater during the
test and the sauna heater begins to heat up, take the towel off the
sauna heater immediately.
● At the end of the test, remove the towel from the sauna heater.
1. Hang a towel over the sauna heater.
2. Switch on the sauna control unit.
► The safety shut-off switches off the sauna heater. Depending on the
sauna control unit, this error is displayed by one or more of the following
error messages:
● The sauna control unit displays an error number (E ...).
● Visual signal (fl ashing light etc.)
● Recurring warning tone
► If the safety shut-off does not switch off the sauna heater, or none of the
error messages listed above are displayed, perform the following steps
immediately:
a. Remove the towel from the sauna heater.
b. Switch off the sauna control unit.
c. Check the connection of the safety shut-off.
d. Check whether the fi xing screws 7 and 8 have been removed.
e. Repeat the test.
► If the safety shut-off still does not switch off the sauna heater,
contact your supplier.
3. Remove the towel from the sauna heater before you switch the sauna
control unit back on.
