Sauna control units without connection terminals for safety shut-offs
(e.g. WC4-B-L)
If your sauna control unit does not feature control terminals for safety shut-offs,
you must integrate the safety shut-off into the circuit for the excess temperature
fuse of the heater sensor (F1). Refer to the connection diagram on page 14.
1. Connect the two wires of the right part of the safety shut-off to the terminals
labelled "NC1".
2. Connect the two wires of the left part of the safety shut-off to the terminals
labelled "NC2".
3. Clip the four connectors for the heater sensor wire to the heater sensor.
Observe the operating instructions for your sauna control unit when doing
so. (The heater sensor wires of the WC4-B-F1D and WC4-F1H sensors are
already connected.)
4. Connect the two white heater sensor wires to the sauna control unit in
accordance with the operating instructions.
5. Connect one of the red heater sensor wires to the sauna control unit in
accordance with the operating instructions.
6. Guide the second red heater sensor wire to the sauna heater and connect
it to one of the terminals labelled "STRG".
7. Connect one wire of the red silicone cable included to the second terminal
labelled "STRG".
8. Guide the wires of the red silicone cable to the sauna control unit and con-
nect them to the terminal still free for the excess temperature fuse.
The heater sensor wires and wires for connecting the safety shut-off may
be extended under the following conditions:
● When a silicone cable resistant to temperatures up to 150 °C is used.
● The minimum cross-section of the wire totals 0.5 mm
● The length of the white heater sensor wires may NOT exceed 10 m.
● There are no limits on the length of the red heater sensor wires for
safety shut-off and excess temperature fuse.
