Intended use
The product is intended for decorative and effect lighting in indoor areas; it may only
be installed and used in dry, enclosed indoor rooms.
The product can be fastened on suitable objects, such as furniture, using the adhesive
tape located on the bottom side of the LED strip.
The light colour can be selected and controlled via the IR remote control enclosed.
The activation of the LEDs on the LED strip takes place via a special control unit whose
power is supplied by the power adaptor provided.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these op-
erating instructions.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.

Explanation of symbols
The lightning symbol in a triangle is a warning to inform you of potential risks
of personal injury, such as electric shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function or
operation.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
resulting damage!
W e shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions. In such cases, the warranty will be null and void.
a) General
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not al-
lowed for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children!
Children do not realise the danger arising from the incorrect use of elec-
trical devices. In addition, the product contains small parts and batteries.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around!
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating in-
structions, please contact our technical service or another specialist.
b) Installation, connection and operation
• This product must be installed and used only in dry conditions indoors.
The product must not get damp or wet, as the power adapter can pose the
risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Do not use the product in rooms that are under adverse environmental
conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be
present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions or heavy mechanical stress.
• The product is suitable for use only in moderate climates, not tropical cli-
mates.
• Caution, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into
the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The mains socket into which the power adapter is plugged must be easily
accessible.
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not use the product any longer.
Switch off the mains socket to which the power adapter is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse,
then switch off the earth leakage circuit breaker). Unplug the power adapt-
er from the mains socket.
Replace the defective power adapter only with a power adapter of the
same design (with the same output voltage, output current, round plug and
plug polarity).
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or performs poorly (flickering light,
leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discol-
ouration of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable condi-
tions
- the product was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• For safety reasons, unplug the power adapter from the mains socket be-
fore cleaning the product or when the product is not to be used for a while
(e.g., during storage).
Instructions concerning the battery
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swal-
lowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Thus, store
batteries in a suitable location.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries, danger of explosion!
• Do not mix batteries with different charges (e.g. flat and half-discharged batteries).
• Always replace the entire set of batteries.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the
battery.
