Malfunctions

Causes and solutions

Drive malfunctions (motor and pump)

Noises

Stop work if unusual noises that do not match the normal sounds of the equipment are observed during
operation, in order to avoid any consequential damages and costly repairs.
Contact a trained service technician to identify the error. Do not try to locate the source of the error.
Warning
Engine parts, pump, heat sinks, hoses and controls can become very hot during operation. There is a
danger of burns.

Temperature

Leave the equipment to cool down somewhat if the temperature of a component has increased due to heavy
loads and intensive use of the equipment, in order to allow it to continue working without errors afterwards.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the affected components in the cooling phase. This should allow the temperature
balance to re-establish itself.
If, however, the temperature has risen due to a defect, the equipment must be turned off immediately to avoid
further defects.
A dirty fan can be cleaned carefully with compressed air. When doing so, pay attention to personal safety and
the safety of your surroundings, and use appropriate personal protective equipment as required for handling
compressed air.
Regular cleaning of the equipment reduces the risk of such failures.
Contact a trained service technician to carry out repairs.

Leaks

In case of leaks, work must cease immediately and the equipment must be switched off. Any loads that are still
on the equipment must of course be safely put down first. Collect any escaping fluids in suitable containers, and
absorb liquids that have already leaked out with suitable binding agents. Cover any traces that may be present,
such as traces of oil, to ensure they can pose no danger to people and the environment.
Superiors must be informed immediately about the type and quantity of the escaped liquids.
Warning
Operating materials such as battery acid and oil
represent a danger for people and the
environment.

Hydraulic failure

Hoses

Immediately stop work if a hydraulic hose bursts or deforms during operation, carefully remove the raised load
and secure the device to prevent unauthorised use.
The defect must be fixed by a trained service technician before work with the equipment can be continued.
Collect any escaping hydraulic oil in suitable containers, and absorb hydraulic oil that has already leaked out
with suitable binding agents.
Superiors must be informed immediately about the type and quantity of the escaped liquids.

Porosities, leaks

Stop work and relieve the load on all hydraulic circuits, if leaks of the hydraulic system are observed during
operation. Secure the lift table to prevent unauthorised use. The repair must only be carried out by trained
service technicians.
DSHT-05 series
any kind of reproduction, even in parts, is not permitted.
Warning
Operating materials such as hydraulic oil cause
slippery surfaces.
