Product description
The various Össur Liners feature a unique combination of product characteristics that ensure proper prosthetic
treatment for users. The Össur Silicone Gel has antibacterial, conditioning, and preventive properties. New
accessories result in improved physiologically correct adhesion to the residual limb for user-friendly prosthetic
treatment. Combined with specific product features, Össur Liners allow for the safe, comfortable prosthetic
treatment of patients and greater customer compliance.
Using Össur Liners makes it easier for your patients to use their prostheses. The skin-conditioning and Protective
properties of the silicone allow one to treat wearers who suffer from skin problems or tend to develop pressure
points quickly. When worn, Össur Liners promote drainage, thereby improving blood flow to the residual limb and
making it firmer. Existing scars on the residual limb become softer and flatter over time. The silicone's non-porous
surface and chemical properties allow for almost abacterial cleaning assuming that the care instructions are
properly followed. Prior to using the Össur Liner system, ensure that the wearer is eligible for a silicone liner.

• Diabetic skin
• Residual limb with skin problems (dry, cracked skin, dermatitis, etc.)
General contraindications
• Skin necroses
• Poor physical condition of wearer and/or no assistance personnel on hand
• Uncovered wounds
• Very soft skin (e.g. children under 3 years of age)
• Recent skin transplants (less than 4 weeks from the time of the skin transplant and prior to epithelialisation)
• Extremely deep scars in the residual limb (e.g. obese patients)
