2°) Self evacuation of another person from the platform (shuttle system):
Example: Following the sample example of the previous situation, a 2nd person has to evacuate the platform.
Connectors are fixed on both ends of the descender device. Thus, 2 or more persons can descend using the shuttle system. At first,
the procedure is as described in 1°). When the first user has reached the ground, he takes off the overall and leaves it connected
to the rope. If the descent height was less than the rope length, the remaining rope must be pulled through the descender. The
previously long rope end is now the short rope end, where the second person can clip in. Pay attention to switch the eye bolts. The
now short rope end must be taken out of the eye bolt and the long rope end must be inserted.
Now the second person can descend as described in 1°).
• This product may only be used by one person at a time.
• For shuttle system operation minimum 2 overalls/harnesses must be available.
Important remarks for using the eye bolts :
Using the eye bolts you can control the descent speed or stop the descent. The longer, unloaded rope end runs through the
eye bolts. If you hold on to the longer rope end, you can throttle the descent speed or stop the descent. If you do not use the
eye bolts, the descent speed will be regulated automatically by two fly wheel brakes (speed ca. 0.8m/sec.).If you are using the
descender as a shuttle system, make sure that you use the eye bolts correctly.
Standard rule: Only run the unloaded, longer rope end through the eye bolts!
Longer and shorter rope end If you run the shorter rope end through the eye bolt (shorter rope end = loaded rope end, on which
a person is suspended) the descent will be blocked and the person cannot be lowered to the ground.

Now he starts the descent which can be controlled or stopped at any time via
the long rope end. Of course he can also release the long rope end complete-
ly and he will be lowered automatically at a controlled pace of 0.8 m/sec.
Eye bolt
Short rope end (has to be tightened, no loose rope).
Long rope end (runs through the eye bolt).
