P roperly dispose of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.
• A v oid D angerous E nv ironment - D on' t use appliances in damp or w et locations. D on' t use in rain.
• Wear heav y long pants, long sleev e s, boots, and glov e s. A v o id loose garments or j ew elry that
could get caught in mov i ng parts of the machine or its motor.
• D o not operate the e q uipment w hile bare f oot or w hen w earing sandals or similar light w eight f oot w ear.
Wear protectiv e f ootw ear that w ill protect your f eet and improv e f ooting on slippery surf aces.
• Batteries can ex p lode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light. T o reduce
the risk of serious personal inj ury, nev er use any cordless product in the presence of open f lame.
A n ex p loded battery can propel debris and chemicals. I f ex p osed, f lush w ith w ater immediately.
• D o not charge sw eeper battery in a damp or w et location. F ollow ing this rule w ill reduce the risk
of electric shock .
• D on' t O v e rreach - K eep proper f ooting and balance at all times. O v e rreaching can result in loss
of balance.
• C heck the w ork area bef ore each use. Remov e all obj ects such as rock s ,
w ire, or string w hich can be throw n or become entangled in the machine.
• C heck D amaged P arts - Bef ore f urther use of the appliance, a guard or other part that is damaged
should be caref ully check e d to determine that it w ill operate properly and perf orm its intended
f unction. C heck f or alignment of mov i ng parts, binding of mov i ng parts, break a ge of parts,
mounting, and any other condition that may af f ect its operation. A guard or other part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized serv ice center unless indicated
elsew here in this manual.
• D o not point the sw eeper nozzle in the direction of people or pets.
• N ev e r run the unit w ithout the proper eq uipment attached. A lw ays ensure the sw eeper tubes
are installed.
• S tore I dle A ppliances I ndoors - When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry,
and high or lock e d-up place - out of reach of children.
• D o not store outside or in v e hicles.
• U nder ex t reme usage or temperature conditions, battery leak a ge may occur. I f liq uid comes in
contact w ith your sk i n, w ash immediately w ith soap and w ater. I f liq uid gets into your eyes, f lush
them w ith clean w ater f or at least 1 0 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. F ollow ing
this rule w ill reduce the risk of serious personal inj ury.
• D o not incinerate this sw eeper ev e n if it is sev e rely damaged. T he battery can ex p lode in a f ire.
• S w eeper serv i ce must be perf ormed only by q ualif ied repair personnel. S erv i ce or maintenance
perf ormed by unq ualif ied personnel may result in a risk of inj ury.
• When serv i cing a sw eeper, use only identical replacement parts. F ollow ing instructions in the
M A I N T E N A N C E section of this manual. U se of unauthorized parts or f ailure to f ollow M aintenance
I nstructions may create a risk of shock or inj ury.
• N ev e r use any sw eeper near f ire or hot ashes. U se near f ires or ashes can spread f ires and
result in serious inj ury and/ or property damage.
