to position OFF to stop machine operation.
The meter gauge (2.) shows the vacuum level (depression) reached by the air pump in the
container. During operation the indicator will move from the yellow area (minimum vacuum
level) to the red area (maximum vacuum level).
At first the vacuum gauge indicator shows strong oscillations due to air suction in course;
when the air quantity in the pipes decreases, the indicator settles at a definite position.
ALL MODELS
VACUUM PACKAGING IN CONTAINER
(containers provided with vacuum valve are required for this operation; only containers suitable
for vacuum packaging, in plastic material or toughened glass,
shall be used).
- Lift the cover.
- Introduce the adapter hose into the air suction plug.
- Fill the container leaving at least 3 cm. free room from the upper rim and place the cover
on it.
- Slightly unscrew the cover cap so as to unlock the valve (attention: the cap must not be
unscrewed completely, some turns are enough).
- Place the adapter for containers on the cap.
- Start up the air pump by pressing switch. Keep the switch pressed (only code 9700 N and
9700 NCSA) until the desired vacuum level is reached.
- When switch is released (only code 9700 N and 9700 NCSA) or the machine is stopped,
remove the adapter for containers from the container cover and screw the cap until the valve
is locked.
- To open the container, slightly unscrew the cap to unlock the valve; then move the valve
to let air into the container.
VACUUM PACKAGING WITH REBER UNIVERSAL COVERS
(REBER universal covers are available in different sizes to be suitable for containers, jars,
bowls, pots and pans of common domestic use, with diameters from 4 to 22 cm.)
- Operate as described for vacuum packaging in container, making sure that the container
edge perfectly adheres to the universal cover gasket.
- In case of prolonged use on the same container, the cover gasket may show a groove
caused by container edge. To avoid any problems, turn the gasket upside down: the groove
will disappear in a short time.
- The gasket can be removed to washing purposes. After drying, place it correctly in its seat.
VACUUM PACKAGING WITH BIG ADAPTER FOR GLASS JARS
(special covers for glass jars are required for this operation. code: 6704 A) (Picture 4).
Introduce the plastic big Adapter for glass jars (or Big Junior Adapter for Junior and Salvaspesa
models) into the air suction plug (4.).
Fill the glass jar leaving at least 2 cm. free room from the upper rim.
Place the cover on the glass jar.
Place the big Adapter jars (or Big Junior Adapter for Junior and Salvaspesa models)on the
jar and press until the gasket is locked on the jar .
Rotate the upper part of the Junior Adapter to position CLOSE (only for Junior and Salvaspesa
models) .
Start the air pump by pressing switch (1.) to position ON (I).
When the desired vacuum level is reached press switch (1.) to position OFF (O) and stop
the vacuum pump.
Rotate the upper part of the big Junior Adapter to position OPEN (only for Junior and
Salvaspesa models) .
Remove the adapter from the jar and screw the ring nut until the valve is locked .
To open the container, slightly unscrew the ring nut and lift the cap by means of the special
REBER tool to let air into the container.
