To switch off the measuring tool, press the On/Off button 5 repeatedly
until the automatic levelling indicator 6 goes out. Slide the automatic
levelling switch 2 into
 Do not leave the switched-on measuring tool unattended and
switch the measuring tool off after use. Other persons could be
blinded by the laser beam.

Operating Modes

Once switched on, the measuring tool is in operating mode with automatic
levelling or in the operating mode without automatic levelling .
To change the line styles, press the operating mode button 5 repeatedly
until the desired mode is set.
The various operating modes are shown in the table below.
Symbol Mode
Cross-line mode (see figures A and D): The measuring tool
generates a horizontal and a vertical laser line from the exit
opening 1.
Horizontal mode (see figure B): The measuring tool gener-
ates a horizontal laser line from the exit opening 1.
Vertical mode (see figure C): The measuring tool generates
a vertical laser line from the exit opening 1.
All modes can be selected both with and without automatic levelling.
Application
The measuring tool is used to determine and check horizontal and vertical
lines and to display inclined lines.
Working with Automatic Levelling
Position the measuring tool on a level, firm support or attach it to a tripod
14 or to the supplied holder.
For work with automatic levelling, push the switch for automatic levelling
2 to the position. The automatic levelling indicator 6 lights up green
( symbol/"green").
If the automatic levelling function is not possible, e.g. because the surface
on which the measuring tool stands deviates by more than 4° from the
horizontal plane, the laser lines flash and the indicator 6 lights up red.
