For maximum enjoyment of your Fagor pressure cook, read these recommendations
carefully before using, and follow them carefully.
1. Make sure to keep the pressure cooker out of the reach of children while cooking.
2. Never use a pressure cooker with a broken or worn closure seal. Check the closure seal prior
to each use, making sure it is flexible without any tears or cracks. If it needs replacing, go to
the care and cleaning section of this manual.
3. To reduce risk of accidents and burns, the cooker handle must be located so it is oriented
inwards and does not overhang the stove edge or adjacent surfaces.
4. When using the Fagor pressure cooker, make sure the safety window is facing inwards to
the stove and away from you. This will reduce the risk of burns should the cooker have to
evacuate pressure via the safety window.
5. It is extremely important not to fill the cooker more than 2/3 its capacity with food and liquids.
When cooking grains or other foods which expand during cooking, do not fill the cooker more
than half its capacity. If the cooker is too full it will produce excess steam.
6. Prior to cooking make sure the rubber seal is in good conditions and the correct position,
likewise the operating valve must not be obstructed with food remains. Consult detailed ins-
tructions in this manual.
7. Make sure the cooker is securely closed prior to cooking. Handles must be aligned and lid
easily slid to left and right. Unless closed properly, the cooker won't generate pressure.
8. On eliminating pressure, raise the cooker lid towards you, so the steam left inside escapes
via the part farthest from you.
9. Pressure cookers shouldn't be used for medical purposes like sterilisation. These cookers
are not designed to reach the temperature required for complete sterilisation.
10. Don't let anyone who isn't familiarised with this instruction manual use the pressure cooker.
11. Don't use the pressure cooker on a propane stove in the open air or an industrial stove. This
pressure cooker is designed solely for domestic use.
12. WARNING: ONLY USE ORIGINAL SPARES PURSUANT TO THE CORRESPONDING MO-
DEL. THE USE OF ANY NON-ORIGINAL SPARE PART IS DANGEROUS, SINCE THEY ARE
PART OF THE COOKER SAFETY SYSTEM. NON-ORIGINAL SPARES LEAVE THE MANU-
FACTURER'S GUARANTEE VOID.
