Alarm suppression period (equates to
temporary release period) during con-
tinuous release:
If the door is open when the con-
tinuous release period expires, it must
be closed again within the alarm
suppression period (temporary
release period), otherwise an advance
warning will be triggered.
Advance warning, switch S2
Period limits:
4 to 64 seconds (4-second-incre-
ments). If the door is still open at the
termination of a temporary release
phase or on the expiry of the alarm
suppression period in the continuous
release mode, an advance warning is
given. If the door remains open on the
expiry of the advance warning period,
a full alarm is triggered. If the door
monitoring system is inoperative, not
even an advance warning will be
triggered.
Alarm period, switch S3.
Period limits:
11 to 176 seconds (11-second-incre-
ments). The acoustic alarm (at terminal
9) is switched off on the expiry of the
preset period. The no-potential alarm
contact (terminals 42, 43 and 44) and
the visual alarm (terminals 8 and 36)
continued to be operative.

Mode selector switches

Selected mode: Door monitoring
Function switch - S 4.1
With the door contact open, no „locking"
command will be accepted unless the
continuous unlocking contact (terminal 30)
switches to the locking mode. If, at this
time, the door contact continues to signal
„door open", temporary release will start
for the period currently in effect, after which
an advance warning will be set off at a low
22
noise level at the door terminal.
If the door has still not been closed on the
expiry of the advance warning period,
uprating to alarm status can be made to
follow if required.
In practice, dip-switch S 4.1 is used either
to effect uprating to "Advance warning" and
"Alarm" status or to activate the mode in
which no warning signal is given but the
locking capability is maintained, as follows:
S 4.1: On (up):
= Door monitoring active with „alarm"
status. (condition on delivery).
S 4.1: Off (down):
= Door monitoring off, no advance
warning, no alarm status. The door
locking capability is maintained; i.e. as
soon as the door contact signals
„closed", the door is locked.
Selected mode: Temporary release by
door terminal
Function switch - S 4.2
If switch S 4.2 is set to on (up), and with
the escape door locking system in locked
condition, the integrated temporary release
period can be started by way of a further
locking command (at terminal 4). The
locking command or start of temporary
release is controlled by turning the key-
switch in the door terminal to the right (see
description under „Temporary release").
With switch S 4.2 set to off (down),
temporary release cannot be started by a
contact pulse at terminal 4.
The key-switch executes only the „locking"
command when turned to the right.
S 4.2: On (up):
= Temporary release via terminal 4
possible (condition on delivery).
S 4.2: Off (down):
= Temporary release via terminal 4 not
possible.
