The following inputs for other com-
ponents are provided on the escape
door control unit 720-20(22):
Locking elements
Surface holding magnet 827*
(max. two units, for parallel operation
only)
or surface holding magnet 828*
(max. two units, for parallel operation
only)
or surface holding magnet 829* (1 unit)
or electric panic release 3150*
(max. two units for parallel operation
only)
or escape door lock release 331 RR AKRR
(max. two units, for parallel operation
only)
Control and monitoring element
Door terminal 1337-10(11)
Additional control, signaling and
monitoring elements
– Central control panel 725
– Access monitoring system (temporary
release)
– Central fire alarm system
– Timer (continuous release)
– External display elements indicating the
following operating modes: door un-
locking/door locking/emergency door
unlocking and sabotage.
– External key-switch (contact lock for
temporary or continuous release).
– External acoustic warning signal (hooter
or siren)
– External function-related control or
monitoring systems (central building
services management)
– Special external functions, e.g. ante-
room door control systems, etc.
Caution: If additional signaling and/or
indicating components or locking
elements are connected, the total load
on the operating voltage (24 V DC) must
not exceed 1.25 A (see Load Table
below).
Check-back contact/door contact
NB: If a surface holding magnet or a panic
release is used as the door locking
element, a door contact must be in-
stalled in or beside the door frame.
By means of this contact, the escape
door control system is informed that
the corresponding escape door is
closed, thus ensuring that it is effec-
tively locked. If an escape door re-
lease 331 RR AKRR is used as the
door locking element, no additional
door contact is required, since the
monitoring contact which signals the
status of the door (open/closed) is
integrally mounted in the escape door
release. This set of switching contacts
triggers a signal as soon as the latch
bolt engages the door release.
A further set of switching contacts in the
escape door locking elements (except
surface holding magnet 827) ensures that
the door is effectively locked. An appro-
priate signal, which is triggered by a Hall
element in the case of holding magnets or
by an armature contact in panic release
3150 and escape door release 331 RR
AKRR, is led to the escape door control
unit 720-20(22) for evaluation.

Selector switches

Release period or alarm suppression
period, switch S1
Period limits:
11 to 176 seconds (11-second
increments)
Release period (temporary release):
If the door is not opened during the
temporary release period, re-locking
of the system takes place after the
period has expired. If the door is open
when the temporary release period
expires, an advance warning is
triggered.
