Commissioning
The available application variants with pertinent
parameters can be seen from the current Technical
Manual of the ABB i-bus
• Connect a PC with EIBA Tool Software (ETS2 V1.x) or
Power-Project (Vers. 3.x) to the EIB bus line via an RS232
interface.
• Switch on the power supply to the EIB bus line or
Powernet line.
• Assign a physical address.
– Press the programming key on the UP coupler;
the red programming LED will become illuminated.
– After the physical address has been programmed,
the red LED will go out.
– Note down the number of the physical address
on the UP coupler (Fig. 1, Item 9) using a smudge-
proof pen.
• Select and parameterize the application.
• Assign the group address(es).
