ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER ALP 200
Check
Keep the vehicle in an upright position.
Check the oil level through oil level sight
A when the engine is cold. The oil level
must never fall below the sight. If neces-
sary, top up after removing filler cap B.
Topping up
Only top up after checking the max level
shown on sight A.
Renewal
Always renew the oil when the engine is
hot. To avoid burns, take care not to touch
the engine and the oil.
• The oil filter should be renewed at the
same time as the oil.
• Put the vehicle on its stand.
• Extract the two screws D and fastening
E, and then remove protection C.
• Place a container under the engine.
• Unscrew filler plug B and drain plug F.
• Drain all the oil from the crankcase.
• Close plug F.
• Remove the oil filter cover after unscrew-
ing the three nuts G.
• Remove the oil filter and replace it with
a new one.
• Apply a thin film of engine oil to the
filter cover O-ring before insertion.
• Apply a film of engine oil over the filter
cover O-ring before fitting it.
