6.1 Safety Information

Improper use of this product may cause injury
or damage.
– If you are unable to understand the warnings,
cautions or instructions, contact a health care
professional or provider before attempting to
use this equipment.
– Do not use this product or any available
optional equipment without first completely
reading and understanding these instructions
and any additional instructional material such
as user manual, service manual or instruction
sheet supplied with this product or optional
equipment.
WARNING!
Risk of Falling!
On unsuitable surfaces, the suction grab bar may
not achieve the required suction force and may as
a result suddenly be detached from the surface.
– Only use the suction grab bar on smooth,
non-porous and firm surfaces, which are clean
and dry, steam-proof and imperviously sealed.
– Never attach a suction grab bar on a joint.

– Do not use if defective.

Through ageing, incorrect installation or as a result
of a dry construction method, it is possible that
the adhesive force of tiles and surface materials
may be insufficient. For this reason, the prepared
surface may become detached if load is applied
to the correctly mounted suction grab bar.
– Check the stability of the prepared surface
before using the suction grab bar for the first
time.

Different ambient conditions can reduce the
suction force.
– Only use the suction grab bar at temperatures
below 40 °C and up to a maximum altitude of
1000 m above sea level.
– Do not expose the suction grab bar to direct
sunlight for prolonged periods.
– Never attach a suction grab bar to a glass
surface.

Excessive or intermittent loads can lead to
spontaneous loss of suction force.
– Before using the suction grab bar, check the
suitability for the relevant user and his/her
usage behaviour.
– The maximum load that can be applied to the
suction grab bar is 30 kg.

7 Intended Use

This product is intended to be used as a transfer aid (e.g.:
to enter into or get out of a bathtub).
Intended users are any adults and adolescents with restricted
or limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips) or limited muscle
strength. If used without an assistant, the users must be able
to keep their own balance.
Indications
• Restricted or limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips)
• Balance issues to stand up or walk due to transitional
or permanent disabilities.
There are no contraindications known when using the
product as intended.
The product is capable to support a local weight of 30 kg.

8 Product Description

Aquatec® Stileo is a suction grab bar (300 mm, 450 mm or
550 mm length) working with two suction cups ensuring the
fixation of the bar on a flat and clean surface thanks to
vacuum force. There are two strength indicators providing
information about remaining strength of the suction cups
ensuring the support.
