Operating the AIRVAC 2002

5.1

General information

In the Airvac system, the bowl and mixing mechanism are connected to the base of the unit
mechanically by turning them. Air is pumped out directly through lid of the bowl and through
the underside of the unit.
Sinter filters (illus. 3, Pos. 2+3) on the flange of the bowl prevent dirt getting into the vacuum
pump. There is an additional fine filter inside the unit.
T he vacuum is permanently monitored through a specially drilled sensor hole (illus. 3, Pos. 3) by
the integrated microelectronics.
T here is a choice of three sizes of mixing bowl with different mixing mechanisms. These can
be attached directly to the AIRVAC 2002 without an adaptor or support. The bowls of
earlier versions of the Airvac (REF 095-060-00 to REF 095-071-00) are compatible with the
AIRVAC 2002.
Caution:
Separate bowls and mixers should be used for investment and plaster! Disregarding this warning
can result in problems with the setting time of the plaster or investment.
