LISTENING TO WS (WorldSpace digital
broadcast)
Selecting the BC (BroadCaster) and SC (Service
Channel program)
Before doing the following steps, turn the unit on and select
WS (WorldSpace digital broadcast).
1. Press BC/FREQ UP (8) or BC/FREQ DOWN (9)
repeatedly until the desired BC name and "SC 1" appear
in the display window.
"BC WORLD" in the illustration is just an example.
2. Press SC UP (:) or SC DOWN (;) repeatedly until the
desired SC number of the BC selected in step 1
appears in the display window.
If the current BC has plural SC numbers, SC numbers
change in order according to the number.
NOTES:
• Since the last selected BC and SC is memorized in the unit,
you can listen to the last received SC by adjusting the WS
antenna.
• If a BC name has more than 8 characters, the first 8
characters of the BC name appear first and then the rest
characters appear in the display window. After that the
selected 8 characters of the BC name appear in the display
window.
Sometimes until the selected 8 characters appear, the first
8 and the rest characters appear alternately.
Checking the number of SCs in a BC
3. Press the MODE button while receiving BC/SC.
4. Press SC UP (:) or SC DOWN (;) while "MODE" is lit.
The number of SCs in the selected BC appears in the
display window for 2 seconds.

Memorizing SCs (Service Channel program)

You can memorize the current beam, BC, and SC on the
unit.
Before doing the following steps, turn the unit on and select
WS (WorldSpace digital broadcast).
5. Select the desired BC and SC. (See above "Selecting
BC (BroadCaster) and SC (Service Channel program)").
6. Press the MEMORY button.
"MEMORY" appears in the display window.
7. Press one of the number buttons, while "MEMORY" is
lit.
Example : Press the 7 button, "CH 7" appears.
The unit can memorize up to 10 favourite SCs.
To recall a memorized SC
8. Press the number button on which the desired SC is
memorized.
The unit tunes in the beam and the BC to which the
desired SC belongs.
When no SC is memorized on the number button, "NO
MEMO" appears.

Avant d'exécuter la procédure suivante, mettez l'appareil
sous tension et sélectionnez WS (Emissions numériques
WorldSpace).
1. Appuyez à plusieurs reprises sur la touche BC/FREQ
UP (8) ou BC/FREQ DOWN (9) jusqu'à ce que le nom
du BC souhaité et "SC 1" s'affichent.
"BC WORLD" repris sur l'illustration est un simple
exemple.
2. Appuyez à plusieurs reprises sur la touche SC UP (:)
ou SC DOWN (;) jusqu'à ce que le numéro du SC
souhaité du BC sélectionné à l'étape 1 s'affiche.
Si le BC actuel possède plusieurs numéros SC, ceux-ci
défilent dans l'ordre numérique.
REMARQUES:
• Comme le BC et le SC sélectionnés en dernier sont
mémorisés dans l'appareil, vous pouvez écouter le dernier
SC capté en réglant l'antenne WS.
• Si un nom de BC compte plus de 8 caractères, les 8
premiers caractères sont d'abord affichés avant de laisser
la place aux caractères suivants. Ensuite, ce sont les 8
caractères sélectionnés du nom du BC qui sont affichés.
Parfois, les 8 premiers caractères et les autres caractères
s'affichent en alternance jusqu'à ce que les 8 caractères
sélectionnés apparaissent.
Vérification du nombre de SC d'un BC
3. Appuyez sur la touche MODE pendant la réception d'un
BC/SC.
4. Appuyez sur la touche SC UP (:) ou SC DOWN (;)
lorsque le témoin "MODE" est allumé.
Le nombre de SC du BC sélectionné apparaît pendant 2
secondes.
Mise en mémoire des programmes des canaux de
service (SC)
Vous pouvez mettre en mémoire le faisceau actuel, le BC et
le SC.
Avant d'exécuter la procédure suivante, mettez l'appareil
sous tension et sélectionnez WS (Emissions numériques
WorldSpace).
5. Sélectionnez le BC et le SC de votre choix (voir
"Sélection du diffuseur (BC) et du programme de canal
de service (SC)" ci-dessus).
6. Appuyez sur la touche MEMORY.
"MEMORY" apparaît sur l'affichage.
7. Appuyez sur l'une des touches numériques pendant que
le témoin "MEMORY" est affiché.
Exemple : Appuyez sur la touche 7. L'indication "CH 7"
apparaît.
L'appareil peut mémoriser jusqu'à 10 SC.
Pour rappeler un SC mis en mémoire
8. Appuyez sur la touche numérique correspondant au SC
mis en mémoire que vous souhaitez rappeler.
L'appareil se règle sur le faisceau ainsi que sur le BC
auquel appartient le SC souhaité.
Si aucun SC n'a été mis en mémoire sous la touche
numérique choisie, l'indication "NO MEMO" apparaît.
