2.7. Correct positioning of SIGFOX PULSE transmitters

Two rules are essential for optimizing radio range.
The first consists of positioning your product as high as possible.
The second consists of limiting the number of obstacles to avoid excessive attenuation of the radio wave.
Position: as far as possible, install the transmitter at a minimum height of 1.50 meters and not affixed to the wall.
Obstacles: ideally the product should be offset from an obstacle by 20 cm, and if possible sited close to an opening (the closer the obstacle, the
more the power transmitted will be absorbed). All materials encountered by radio waves weaken them. Remember that metal (metal cupboards,
beams, etc.) and concrete (reinforced concrete, partitions, walls, etc.) are the most critical materials affecting the propagation of radio waves.

2.8. Types of fixings

The SIGFOX PULSE has three methods of fixing thus permitting numerous types of installation depending on the environment where it is to be
deployed.

2.8.1 Fixing to a tube or mast

As explained in step 2.7, the best radio
performance is obtained by positioning the
SIGFOX PULSE as high as possible
Fixings for clamping collars allow you to fix
the SIGFOX PULSE safely to a mast or tube.
