Safety Notes

Read all safety warnings and
WARNING
instructions provided with the
drill stand and the drill. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
The term "drill" in the warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) drill or battery-operated
(cordless) drill.
Pull the plug from the socket outlet and/or
remove the battery before carrying out ad-
justments on the power tool or replacing ac-
cessory parts. Unintentional starting of drills
is the cause of some accidents.
Assemble the drill stand properly before
mounting the drill. The correct assembly is
important in order to ensure proper function.
Before using, fasten the drill securely to the
drill stand. An unsecured drill in the drill
stand can lead to loss of control.
Fasten the drill stand onto a firm, plane and
level surface. If the drill stand can slip away
or wobble, then the drill can not be guided
evenly and securely.
Keep the connection cable of the drill away
from the working area. Damaged or entangled
cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
Maintain the drill stand with care. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the function of the drill
stand. Have damaged parts repaired before
using the drill stand. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained devices.
Have your drill stand serviced/repaired only
by a qualified repair person using original re-
placement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the device is maintained.
Bosch Power Tools
Use the clamping devices, the quick-clamp-
ing device (accessory) or a machine vice to
clamp the workpiece, and a piece of wood
or a prism as a drilling support. When hold-
ing the workpiece by hand, it cannot be se-
cured sufficiently against twisting and can
lead to injuries.
The safety warnings and working instruc-
tions for the drill as well as for the drilling
tools and accessories being used are to be
strictly observed!
