Use of dishwasher salt

1. Open the dishwasher door.
2. Remove the lower basket from the dish-
washer.
3. Turn the water hardness dial to position 1
or 2 (see table).
4. Replace the lower basket.

Setting electronically

The dishwasher is factory set at level 5.
1. Press the On/Off button. The dishwasher must be in setting mode.
2. Press and hold programme selection/RESET button until programme light A flashes
and programme light B illuminates with a fixed light.
3. Wait until:
– programme light B turns off
– programme light A goes on flashing
– the end of programme indicator light starts flashing: the number of flashes cor-
responds to the current level set. The flashing is repeated with a pause of a few
seconds. Examples: 5 flashes, pause, 5 flashes, pause, etc...= level 5.
4. To change the level press the programme selection/RESET button. Each time button
is pressed the level increase (level 1 follows level 10). The end of programme light
indicates the new setting.
5. To memorise the operation, switch off the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off button.
Use of dishwasher salt
WARNING!
Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers. All other types of salt not spe-
cifically designed for use in a dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water soft-
ener. Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing programmes. This
will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been spilt, remaining on the
bottom of the machine for any period of time, which may cause corrosion.
To fill:
1. Open the door, remove the lower basket and unscrew the cap of the salt container by
turning it anticlockwise.
2. Pour 1 litre of water inside the container (this is necessary only before filling with
salt for the first time) .
