ADJUSTING THE DEPTH OF CUT
The front Pivoting Shoe (5) can be adjusted to change the depth of cut of your reciprocating saw. To adjust the
depth of cut, loosen the two front Shoe Locking Screws (located on the bottom of the Saw Boot) by inserting
the provided Allen wrench and rotating counter-clockwise. Set your depth of cut (Note: ideal depth of cut is 1"
deeper than material to be cut), then tighten the front Shoe Locking Screws securely.
INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK (FIG 3)
WARNING:
removal of the battery pack.
• To install the battery pack, slide the battery pack (1) into the
end of the tool housing (2) all the way until it locks in place
with a click, as shown in fIG 3. Lightly pull on the battery to
ensure it is locked into place and will not accidentally fall
out of the tool, causing an injury.
• To remove the battery pack, pull the battery pack away
from the tool while depressing the battery locking tab (3).
OPERATION
CHARGING THE BATTERY (FIG 4)
NOTE:
Always Check that the power supply corresponds
to the voltage on the ratings plate.
• Connect the charger adaptor (1) and the charger stand (3).
• Plug the charger adaptor (1) into a 120 Volt AC power
source. The green light on the charger stand (3) will
illuminate, indicating the charger is powered.
• Slide the battery (2) all the way into the charger stand (3)
until it locks in place with a click, as shown in fIG 3. The
red light on the charger stand will illuminate, indicating that
the battery is charging.
• The red light will go off after charging is complete.
• Batteries may become warm while charging. This is normal.
• If battery is hot after continuous use in the tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before charging.
This will extend the life of your batteries.
NOTE:
It takes approximately 3-5 hours to charge up a completely discharged battery.
STARTING AND STOPPING THE SAW
To Start the Saw,
depress and hold the lock-off button (2-fIG1), then depress the trigger switch (1-fIG1). The
saw is equipped with a variable-speed trigger switch. Depressing the switch further will produce more speed.
To Stop the Saw,
release the switch. Allow the blade to come to a complete stop.
ELECTRIC BRAKE
This saw is equipped with an electric brake, an electric brake provides you with another element of control
during various operations. If the tool consistently fails to quickly stop after trigger switch release, have a
qualified serviceman to examine the tool.
APPLICATION
CUTTING ACTION
The reciprocating saw blade is doing most of its cutting as it travels towards the operator. Depending on the
type of material and cutting speed, this can cause splintering on the surface of the workpiece that is facing
the operator. Therefore, if possible, position yourself or the workpiece so that the desired "good" side of the
workpiece is facing away from the operator.
Always be sure that the tool is switched off before insertion or
