Keeping Coffee Warm
CAUTION!
■ Never place an empty coffee jug on a warm hotplate! The material could be damaged.
We recommend the use of the coffee jug (8) for the keep-warm function. In the
thermal jug the coffee will remain warm for around 4 – 6 hours without being on
the hotplate.
1. Once all of the coffee has run through, the coffee machine switches itself off automat-
ically. The display illumination goes out after around 25 seconds.
2. If the coffee is to be kept warm for a longer period of time, press the Warmhalten
(keep warm) button (18). The
trol lamp next to the Warmhalten (keep warm) button (18) lights up.
3. If the coffee jug (8) is empty, press the Warmhalten (keep warm) button (18) again
to end the keep-warm function. The
control lamp goes out. The keep-warm function automatically ends after around 35
minutes if the device is not switched off before this.
Timer Function
CAUTION!
■ Only activate the timer function when there is suffi cient water in the water tank and
suffi cient coffee powder in the permanent fi lter or coffee beans in the coffee bean
container.
The device can be set so that the grinding process and / or the brewing process
starts automatically at a desired point in time.
1. Make sure that the correct time is set on the device (see the "Use" chapter, "Setting
the Time" section).
2. Fill the coffee machine with coffee powder or coffee beans (see the "Use" chapter,
"Making Coffee" section).
3. Place the coffee jug (8) onto the hotplate (7).
4. Set the start time you want:
– press the Uhr / Timer (clock / timer) button (21) for a long time. The time display
fl ashes.
– Set the hours (24-hour mode) with the Std (hr) button (15).
– Set the minutes with the Min button (16).
– The time display stops fl ashing after around 10 seconds if no further entry is made.
– Use the Uhr / Timer (Clock / timer) button (21) to confi rm the set start time. The
display (13) shows the
(clock / timer) button (21) lights up. The timer has been set.
5. The grinding process and / or the brewing process will start automatically at the set
time.
6. To deactivate the timer function, press the Uhr / Timer (clock / timer) button (21).
