Using Coffee Powder
1. Insert the permanent fi lter (11) into the fi lter holder (10) and insert this into the fi lter
compartment (9). Make sure that it fi ts correctly.
2. Pour in the quantity of coffee powder you want (generally one heaped teaspoonful
per cup).
3. Place the fi lter cover (12) on the permanent fi lter (11).
4. Fold down the fi lter compartment (9). It must engage audibly.
5. Place the coffee jug (8) (with the lid closed) onto the hotplate (7).
6. Press the Mahlwerk aus (grinding mechanism off) button (20) to switch off the
coffee grinder. The control lamp next to the Mahlwerk aus (grinding mechanism
off) button (20) lights up.
7. Use the Tassen 2-12 (cups 2-12) button (14) to select the number of cups to be brewed.
8. Start the brewing process with the Start / Stopp (start / stop) button (17). The control
lamp next to Start / Stopp (start / stop) button (17) lights up.
9. After the end of the brewing process, you will hear a triple beep and the device will
switch to stand-by mode.
Using Coffee Beans

4. Open the lid for the coffee bean container (1).
5. Pour the quantity of coffee beans you want into the coffee bean container (3) (gener-
ally one teaspoonful per cup).
6. Close the lid for the coffee bean container (1) again.
7. Use the rotary dial for setting the grinding fi neness (4) to set the grinding fi neness
you want.
8. Place the coffee jug (8) (with the lid closed) onto the hotplate (7).
9. Use the Tassen 2-12 (cups 2-12) button (14) to select the number of cups to be
brewed.
