USING THE LASER FEATURE
WArNING:
the laser beam. Do not point the laser beam at other people or animals, either directly or
through reflective surfaces.
Your saw comes with a laser guide (15-fIG1) on the front top of the upper guard. The Laser feature clearly shows
you an extended cut-line, even over debris on the workpiece. Turn it on right before cutting by pressing the laser
on/off switch (3-fIG1) once. Turn it off immediately after use to conserve battery and laser life.
INSTALLING THE RIP GUIDE
When cutting lumber lengthwise you are usually cutting "with" the wood's grain rather then across the grain.
Cutting "with" the grain of wood is called "ripping" or a rip cut. Since rip cuts tend to be lengthy it can be
difficult to accurately follow the guideline the entire distance of the cut. To assist the operator to obtain a
straight rip cut, a straight edge can be clamped to the workpiece or the supplied rip guide can be used. To
install the rip guide on your saw, perform the following steps.
• Remove the battery from the circular saw.
• Insert the rip guide through all three slots on the saw base at the front of the saw, starting with slot in the
left side edge of the base.
• Slide the guide through the slots until it extends out the right side of the base.
• Adjust the rip guide for the desired width of cut and then securely tighten the thumbscrew in the center slot
to hold the rip guide in position.
WArNING:
the rip guide through all slots on the base.
INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK (FIG 3)
WArNING:
is switched off before insertion or removal of the
battery pack.
• To install the battery pack, slide the battery pack (1) into the
end of the tool housing (2) all the way until it locks in place
with a click, as shown in fIG 3. Lightly pull on the battery to
ensure it is locked into place and will not accidentally fall out
of the tool, causing an injury.
• To remove the battery pack, pull the battery pack away from
the tool while depressing the battery locking tab (3).

CHARGING THE BATTERY (FIG 4)
NOTE:
Always Check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the ratings plate.
• Connect the charger adaptor (1) and the charger stand (3).
• Plug the charger adaptor (1) into a 120 Volt AC power source.
The green light on the charger stand (3) will illuminate,
indicating the charger is powered.
• Slide the battery (2) all the way into the charger stand (3) until
it locks in place with a click, as shown in fIG 3. The red light
on the charger stand will illuminate, indicating that the battery
is charging.
• The red light will go off after charging is complete.
• Batteries may become warm while charging. This is normal.
• If battery is hot after continuous use in the tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before charging.
This will extend the life of your batteries.
NOTE:
It takes approximately 3-5 hours to charge up a completely discharged battery.
