CAUTION! Risk of damage
● Risk of the induction generator overheating! The air sucked in for cooling must not be greasy and
be cooler than 40°C!
● Do not cover ventilation apertures on the appliance.
● Risk of breakage! Do not allow any hard or pointed objects to drop onto the glass ceramic cook
ing surface!
● Make sure that no meltable material e.g. sugary foods, plastics, aluminium foil, enamel, etc. gets
onto the ceramic cooking surface or under a pot. Remove the material immediately when hot be
fore it sticks permanently to the glass ceramic cooking surface.
● Do not scratch the glass ceramic cooking surface, e. g. by pushing cookware with rough bot
toms, by using defective enamel pots or grains of sand caught between pot bottom and the glass
ceramic cooking surface.
● Do not push cookware over the glass ceramic cooking surface or allow it to stand on the circum
ferential silicone seal.
● Switch off the heating zone if there is no pan on it. This prevents unintentional heating if an empty
pot or pan is placed on the hob.
● Do not place any empty pots or pans on the glass ceramic cooking surface when the appliance is
switched on. Otherwise your cookware or the glass ceramic cooking surface could be damaged.
● Cookware can be destroyed if it is heated up too much. The base of the pot or pan can come
away from the core. The heat will no longer be transferred to the pot or pan base, and hence to
the food, sufficiently quickly. The induction generator detects overheating and switches off the
power supply.
● Do not use so-called induction adapter plates! They may overheat even when cookware is placed
on top and thus destroy the ceramic cooking surface and the induction unit. The safety switch-off
mechanism for empty cookware may be impaired or fails to function. The benefits offered by in
duction technology are no longer provided if induction adapter plates are used.
● Do not place hot cookware on the stainless steel table tops or stainless steel work surfaces, oth
erwise there is a risk of warping of the stainless steel table tops and stainless steel work sur
faces, with permanent damage.
● Do not spray or clean the appliance with water hoses, high pressure cleaners, high pressure
steam cleaners or steam cleaners!
● Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels! The foam cleaner gets into the
smallest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems!
● If the appliance has not been used for some time, have an authorised customer service agent
check it for correct operation.
● If you cannot rectify malfunctions using page 7., chapter 31 "Troubleshooting", switch off the
appliance and notify authorized customer services.
