6.3. Adjusting sensibility
This adjustment, labeled as 'SENSITIVITY' 5 controls the
time it takes for the filter 3 to return to the transparent state
after welding is halted. In the case that the potentiometer
is adjusted, three standard use cases are presented:
1. In normal welding conditions, adjustment should be
made to center position.
2. Adjust to maximum degree buy turning knob to the
right for welding conditions with high amperage where the
liquid welding needs a short time to cool before it can be
looked at.
3. Adjust to minimum degree buy turning knob to the left
for welding conditions the require rapid control after finish
such as spot welding.
It is recommended to start adjustment at mid position
adjusting until the adequate adjustment is obtained.
6.4 Adjusting wait time (AS-1.B / AS-1C)
This setting, marked 'DELAY' 6 controls the time it takes
to return the filter to stop transparent state after welding.
While the adjustment is continued through potentiometer
are three standard use cases:
1. In normal welding shall conform to the middle position.
2. It is as close as possible by turning the knob 4 to the
right four under high amperage welding in which the weld
needs to cool slightly before looking.
3. Be adjusted to a minimum by turning the knob 4 to
the left in welding conditions requiring rapid control after
completion of welding such as a piece when tapped.

We recommend you start adjusting the default middle
position and titrated to achieve the proper timeout.
6.5. Setting grinding
You can adjust your mask (GS1-B) as work either welding
or grinding.
1. The mask GS1-B has lifting system for actinic glass
grinding operations.
2. The clear visor 14 when exposed (Fig. 2) used as a
shield to work with grinders and when the dark filter 3
is closed will be used for protection against the harmful
radiation of the welding processes.
7. MAINTENANCE
All the operations can be performed by hand and without
any tools. To know if the equipment needs maintenance,
inspect
using
INSPECTION of this manual.

7.1. Cleaning and Storage

Clean the equipment using a soft cloth, a medium soap
and lukewarm water. Do not use solvents.
Clean the automatic filter with a cloth that does no loose
fibers. Do not project sprays in equipment nor submerge.
Store equipment in a place that has a medium temperature
and is clean and dry without any dust.
7.2. Replacing the protective lenses
The automatic filter 3 has two protective lens to protect
the other lens from smoke flying particles and arc spatter
during the welding process.
