Mounting heat/cooling energy meter

Flush the system thoroughly
■
before installing the heat/cooling
energy meter.
Close valves and release pressure.
■
Unscrew the closing cap (2) from
■
the connection interface (4)
respectively unscrew the existing
measuring capsule.
Check the sealing surfaces and
■
threads on the measuring capsule
and connection interface for
damage.
Remove the old seal, clean the
■
sealing surface and use the new
seal (3) with the flat side up in the
connection interface (The seal is
firmly integrated in the brass ring
for type CMF A1).
Attention: insert only one profile
■
seal! The O-ring at the inlet filter
of the flow meter must be in
groove.
Use only new and flawless sealing
■
material, no hemp or similar!
Before mounting, check that the
■
small O-ring is correctly posi-
tioned at the outlet opening!
Remove the screw cap (1) of the
■
new measuring capsule (5). Screw
the measuring capsule into the
connection interface (4)!
Tighten the measuring cap-
■
sule gently with a hook wrench
(special wrench for CMF A1 is Art.
165719 an hook wrench for all
the other CMF/ASF is Art. 106049)
until it stops the connection
interface. The correct position
is reached when all the threads
of the threaded ring are screwed
into the connection interface
until the dead stop, or the end
of the last thread is in line with
the upper edge of the connection
interface.
Turn the heat meter calculator

into the desired reading position.

Only C5-ASF type A1

Lubricate the provided O-ring
■
with suitable silicone grease and

place it upon the upper shoulder
of the connection interface.
Remove the calculator and screw
■
the measuring capsule carefully
into the connection interface.
You reach the final position, if all
threads are completely screwed
into the connection interface
respectively if the end of the last
thread is aligned with the top of
the connection interface. After-
wards check the installation point
for leak tightness.
Installation of the temperature
sensors
The installation of the tempera-
■
ture sensors should be prefer-
ably symmetrical and as direct
installation.
Do not remove the temperature
■
sensor if already mounted on
the flow sensor. This is also valid
for all the safety seals which are
mounted on the device as a
standard.
For type A1 the temperature
■
sensors are provided with a con-
nection nut.
Sensors are colour-coded
■
(according to the model):
Red = Pipe with higher tempera-
ture level (supply in „Heating"
mode and return in „Cooling"
mode)
