• The cords must not cover up the area shown in the figure below. This is necessary to
allow the amplifiers and navigation mechanism to heat dissipate freely.
Display unit
Do not cover these areas.
• The semiconductor laser will be damaged if it overheats, so don't install the product
anywhere hot — for instance, near a heater outlet.
• When installing the Hide-away unit in the trunk, use the extension cable (e.g. CD-
SC300E) (sold separately).
• Do not install the display unit in a position where the opening of the LCD panel is
obstructed by any obstacles, such as the shift lever. This may cause interference with the
shift lever, or a malfunction of the mechanism of the display unit.
